The third grade students have adjusted being back to school. Thank you very much for the beautiful Christmas gifts. I LOVED all of them. We have had a busy month with many wonderful learning activities. What a great turn out at our Third Grade - Moms, Muffins, and Multiplication morning. Look for pictures on this website. I will post a date for Dads, Donuts, and Division in the near future.
The students are working in the following curricular areas:
Religion: The Ten Commandments, prayer, and believing and keeping our Faith
Reading: Charlotte's Web-vocabulary and comprehension
Math: Multiplication and word problems
Science: Solar System
English: verbs
Composition: writing a directional essay
So. Studies: Finishing Communities and Geography and then we will focus on Native American Communities, an English Colony at Jamestown, and a Spanish Mission in San Francisco
I look forward to seeing everyone at Open House on Sunday, January 29, 2012. Your children have worked hard to show you how gifted they are. Please stop by and witness their progress.
