Day 3

7:00am wake-up call, 7:30am breakfast, 8:15am on the bus to the Vietnam Memorial Wall where we looked for our name and left our cross tribute. Then back on the bus for a drive-by of the Iwo Jima monument and then a frantic rush to arrive at the White House in time for our tour. A quick tour of several of the public rooms in the White House with our personal guide and brother of Mike Blazey, uncle of Lauren: Jerry Blazey who is a White House Staffer. Then back on the bus and on the road to Quantico and the Marine Corps Museum. Lunch upstairs in the museum and a visit to the gift shop finished our stop there and off we go to Thomas Jefferson's beautiful and innovative home: Monticello. A stop for a pizza dinner and BIRTHDAY cupcakes for Jackson and then the 2+ hour ride back to Maryland and our hotel. Back at the hotel we are packing up for our move to a hotel in Gettysburg tomorrow night. It is 11pm and we have a 7am wake up call tomorrow. Good night!
